This Apple Cider Sangria is the perfect fall drink. Made with spiced apple cider, white wine, fresh fruit, brandy, and warm autumn spices. Cheers!
Sangria is pretty much one of my favorite things to make. Ever.
When I lived in San Diego, I would throw a lot of themed parties for my friends and Hyatt co-workers. My teeny, tiny downtown apartment would fit at least thirty to forty people. The theme of the party would change often. A 1920’s Speakeasy-themed party one time, complete with prohibition-style decor and flapper apparel. A wine and cheese party another time. Costume parties. Tequila tastings. Secret Santa Christmas parties.
But one thing was always the same. I always made sangria.
I loved crafting all kinds of different concoctions. A basil and peach sparkling sangria. A blood orange sangria. Classic Spanish sangria. A cranberry and rosemary Christmas sangria.
My Hyatt co-workers would always request my sangria. And I loved to customize it according to the theme or the season.
Hence, this Apple Cider Sangria.
This Apple Cider Sangria combines so many wonderful things about fall. Fresh, spiced apple cider. Fresh fruit, such as citrus, apples, and pears. Cinnamon sticks. Sticky, floral honey. Warm, aromatic brandy. And, of course, wine.
It’s a fun addition to any fall party or shindig. No one can resist the spicy, cinnamon-y smell of this sangria. Plus, it just looks so pretty with all of the fresh fruit and cinnamon sticks in there.
Serve it topped with some cold club soda for a fizzy and fruity libation.
If you can get fresh apple cider from your favorite local orchard, even better! Spend the day apple and pumpkin picking and come home to make this Apple Cider Sangria.
