Chai Spiced Energy Bites are naturally sweetened, gluten-free, and packed with fiber and protein for a delicious, healthy on-the-go snack!
I really love making energy bites. Coconut Citrus Energy Bites. Raw Almond and Cocao Energy Bites. Energy bites of all kinds are welcome here.
Every time I make an energy bite, those I give them to always think they’re supposed to be dessert. “These are so good! Like a truffle!” I’m pretty sure it’s always a good thing when something that’s healthy for you tastes like dessert, right?
My latest bite-sized obsession are these Chai Spiced Energy Bites.
A Chai Latte is probably one of my favorite drinks ever, and these little protein-packed balls take on its same spicy, sweet flavor.
These little guys make a delicious snack, pick-me-up, or post-workout treat. The best thing about them? They’re extremely grab-and-go friendly, so keeping them on hand for busy mornings definitely saves me. Energy bites are especially my jam during the summer. They’re the perfect snack to take on hikes, to the park, or on a road trip.
These Chai Spiced Energy Bites are gluten-free, naturally sweetened, and can easily be made vegan. They’re a great source of protein, fiber, iron, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants.
They are made with just a few simple ingredients: raw almond butter, raw honey (which can be agave instead, for vegan), coconut oil, oats, sea salt, chia seeds, and Bob’s Red Mill Chai Protein Powder Nutritional Booster. They then get rolled in a mixture of coconut sugar, ginger, and cinnamon, but that’s completely optional. They taste fantastic without it, too.
I am positively in love with Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Boosters. I have been using them for months, and I’m not sure I’ll ever use another protein powder again. The Nutritional Boosters come in Chai, Vanilla, Chocolate, and unflavored.
Let’s discuss why they’re amazing.
They taste incredible.
They are gluten-free.
They’re vegan.
They’re naturally sweetened with monk fruit.
They have 20g of plant-based protein per serving and about 12g of fiber!
What I love the most, though, is the Nutritional Booster part. This protein powder isn’t just a protein powder. It has protein, sure (thanks to plant-based pea protein), but it also has fiber (due to chicory root), chia seeds, and beneficial probiotics. These boosters have a well-rounded balance of health benefits and give me a ton of energy to take on my day. I really love that a serving is 20% of my daily fiber. As I’ve said many times, I’m a huge fiber nerd and it can be really hard to get the recommended amounts. I’ve also become a pretty big probiotic nerd, so I love that it has probiotics and prebiotic fiber.
The Nutritional Boosters are perfect in shakes, smoothies, or in energy bites. Like, ahem, these Chai Spiced bad boys.
Delicious, sweet, and spicy, these energy bites are easily made in one bowl. No mixer, food processor, or equipment required.
Just a little love and a little elbow grease!

Oh, yum! This is absolutely the best thing for those afternoons when I’m feeling kind of “blah”. I can also see taking some in a ziploc bag with me when I’m out and about.

Wow these are great! They gave me a lot of energy and taste good! Healthy and great for mid afternoon slump.
I love the grab and go feature of these. In the mornings when I am running late, heck even when I’m not running late, it’s nice to know I can still have a quick pick me up for the day. Makes me feel like I am starting the day right. Love these photos by the way!
