Frozen dog treats, aka Pupsicles, are a sweet summer snack for your pups. This recipe only has three ingredients: Greek yogurt, honey, and fresh mint (also great for fresh breath!).
Summer is coming — and if you’re a dog with a ton of fur (aka my Corgi), this is not your favorite season.
My dog gets cranky in the summer. She pants, huffs, and puffs like she just ran a half marathon… all day. She’ll hide in the basement bathroom and lay on the cool floor down there. She also makes me put ice in her water, feed her frozen treats, and place my hand in the middle of the road for 12 seconds to check if it’s too hot for her to walk.
Well, she doesn’t really make me do those things, but she would make me hand fan her all day if she could.
She loves those Frosty Paws-type treats, but I can’t pronounce half of the ingredients, so I prefer making her my own.
This is not Cocoa (my Corgi) in these photos, but Mordecai, a very good boy and fellow frozen dog treats lover who is making a cameo!
I love making homemade dog treats for my pup. And I love how much you guys love it, too!
These frozen yogurt dog treats are just three ingredients and a breeze to make. Doggos everywhere will approve, and guess what? You will, too, because these pupsicles help with fresh breath. #blessed
Healthy 3 Ingredient Frozen Dog Treats
These frozen dog treats are made with simple, natural ingredients:
Greek Yogurt
Plain Greek yogurt is packed with probiotics, which are healthy for your pup’s gut. This good bacteria helps fight infections and is especially helpful for dogs taking antibiotics. Make sure the yogurt you buy is plain and not sweetened with added sugar.
Fresh Mint
Fresh mint is perfectly safe for dogs, with the exception of the English pennyroyal varietal, which is toxic. However, this is not a culinary mint that is consumed by humans, so your fresh garden or grocery store mint is just fine. Fresh mint in small amounts can not only aid in digestion for dogs, but help freshen their breath!
Honey
Honey has powerful antimicrobial and antifungal properties that can benefit both humans and dogs. Honey has been shown to aid in inflammation, allergies, and kennel cough. Small amounts of honey are fine for dogs fed a healthy and nutritious diet, but raw honey should not be given to puppies or dogs with compromised immune systems.

I will try making this for my dog. I hope he would like it. He is very picky with treats. Oh well, if he does not like it, I can always give it to my niece’s beagle. He’d gobble them all up!
