These DIY Peppermint Bath Salts are an excellent homemade gift idea. Make these relaxing, fragrant bath salts to melt away winter blues or gift them with our free printable gift tags!
I love receiving homemade gifts during the holidays.
I mean, give me all of the chocolate bark, Christmas cookies, or homemade ornaments you have.
I’m being sincere here. I think homemade gifts are so special and lovely, and I’m a big fan of the sentimental. I’ll keep things forever. Ask the husband.
But I’m also a big fan of homemade gifts that are useful. Like DIY bath salts.
Because who couldn’t use some self care during the holidays? Literally. No. One.
How to Make DIY Peppermint Bath Salts
This recipe has four ingredients. Four! All you need is Epsom salt, pink Himalayan sea salt, baking soda, and peppermint essential oil. They are all-natural bath salts and we rely on pink salt for color opposed to artificial dyes.
First, mix your ingredients. You will mix both the Epsom salt (white) and the Himalayan salt (pink) with the peppermint. Then, layer them in mason jars to create a candy cane effect.
Next: Get the kids or family involved.
I had my husband fill these mason jars for me. Did he do a perfect job? Nope. Do I care? Nope.
No one is going to analyze your gifts for exact symmetry or perfection. Trust me. Plus, throw a cute gift tag on there and some ribbon and you’re home free.
Finally, back to that cute ribbon and gift tag: Print our free gift tags below!
